Mix and match your home decorations!

Home – that is one place that shows your personality and reflects what kind of a person you are.  A messy home with things and articles scattered all over the place is just a clear indication that the owner of the house is much unorganized and confused.  A neat and clean house with matching furniture and wall paints and pleasantly organized drawing rooms shows how much you care for the intricacies and how much your home matters to you.  Given a choice I am sure most of us would want to fall into the second category that talks good of ourselves and our homes.

The motive behind decorating your home is that things should match and this is what will give you an even and complete look.  Explaining this context, if I have to give you an example, if you have pink walls, it would be utterly comical if you select chocolate brown upholstery.  You need to coordinate and match the colors of your walls, the paints on your window sills, the brown that you have shaded your doors and then select your home decorations.  You have to closely check on the different shades of the same color like a brown or a pink or even a blue.  When you are out purchasing something always imagine that in your home – then if you are convinced it matches, then go for it.

No matter you are decorating your kitchen or drawing room, always remember comfort comes before looks.  Just like you don’t chose your partner just because somebody is dashing and handsome or angelic and beautiful, you do not chose your home decoration products just going by their looks.  The ease of usage and the comfort they have when you use them is definitely the scoring point.  Of the most comfortable decorations, you can then decide the ones that look the best and those that match your numbers.

When you are buying kitchen decorations like chimneys or additional light fittings, always be clear and demarcate where you are going to place your stove and never ever change it later.  If you are double minded and have hundred other things to contemplate and hence are not able to decide, then the best thing for you to do is to wait on your purchase till you are clear.  If you decide you want the stove in one place earlier and then fix your decorations like your chimneys and the fancy lights in such a way that the light falls on the place you cook, then at a later point in time if you are going to change this, then you will have to change your entire set up.  Apart from costing more, this could also lead to a lot of rework which will for sure impact the look of your home.

You might want to consult a professional home decorator for matching these colors and giving you suggestions on what to place where, but do keep a watch on the budget as these interior decorators can cost you  a fortune!
