Swap meets are a great place to make some money just think of the last time you went to one and enjoyed walking through it and spending some money. Now think about being on the other side of the table bringing in that money. Sounds good doesn’t it. Renting and can’t put up a shelf, try a bookshelf.

Thursday, February 5th, 2009

Now a bookshelf is a great solution to this problem. Most do not require being screwed to the wall and will stand by itself. Another benefit is that you will always have a display case to keep your décor in. There are many styles to choose from, one that will match the rest of your furniture or ones that will match the style of the home. Of course there are cheap ones that can be found and put together in an hour or so and ones that are expensive and look great. The choice is up to you and your budget. (more…)

Caring for Home Décor

Dusting:
The best way we have found is to use a clean (one that has never been used with makeup) makeup brush. This gives the best results for getting into the little crevices. Start with small circular motions lightly touching the brush to the item. You don’t want to go to fast or press to hard because by doing that you may end up breaking delicate pieces. The idea here is to get the loose dust and not scratch or damage the décor. We don’t suggest using any type of dusting sprays because they have harsh chemicals and oils that may ruin some of the more delicate décor. (more…)
